Taimen Camps
Comfortable Mongolian ger (yurt) camps on prime taimen waters
Our camps consist of Mongolian Gers, sometimes referred to as Yurts: these are the traditional felt covered tents with a collapsible wooden frame that we use to provide the accommodation, dining and washroom facilities. The gers are around 9 feet high and 15-20 feet in diameter, and are equipped with cot-beds and an area to sit down and relax by a wood stove. Each ger accommodates 2 to 3 anglers. There is a washroom ger equipped with simple shower system; and a restaurant ger for dining and relaxing. We plan to start work on building our own log cabins and lodge facilities for 2009.

We pride ourselves on our catering; meals at camp will include a range of tasty Mongolian and European dishes; meat supplied by Ulaanbaatar’s top gourmet French chef, along with fresh vegetables and fruit, is flown in weekly. Shore lunches are typically a riverside campfire grill such as prime steaks or tasty kebab skewers. A reasonable quantity of beer, and a bottle of red wine with dinner, is included in the trip cost; a selection of premium wines can be ordered in advance and delivered to the camp for your stay.
